Woher kommen Tau Proteine?
Tau-Proteine sind ein normaler Bestandteil von Neuronen. Bei einem Zerfall der Nervenzelle bilden sie Aggregate, die als Tau-Fibrillen bezeichnet werden.

Tau-Fibrillen bestehen aus unauflöslichen, gedrehten Fasern, die sich im Innern von Hirnzellen finden. Sie bestehen überwiegend aus dem sogenannten Tau-Protein, das Teile einer Struktur formt, die man Mikro-Tubuli (Röhrchen) nennt.
